The James Webb Space Telescope has captured an updated image of the iconic "Pillars of Creation" in the Eagle Nebula, which was originally photographed by the Hubble Space Telescope in 1995. The new image was captured in 2021 by the James Webb Space Telescope's Near Infrared Camera (NIRCam), which can see through the dust clouds that obscure visible light. This allowed astronomers to capture a detailed view of the structures and the processes occurring within them that have never been seen before.
